🌐 AI Connection Club (AICC) – Code of Conduct

1. Purpose & Scope

AI Connection Club (AICC) is dedicated to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of background, identity, or experience level. Whether you're here to learn, share, collaborate, or simply explore the world of AI, you belong.

This Code of Conduct applies to all spaces and interactions associated with AICC — including:

  • Our website and community platform
  • Forums, chat groups, and discussion threads
  • Social media channels
  • Live events, webinars, and workshops
  • Private messages and direct contact between members

By participating in AICC, you agree to uphold the spirit of this code.

2. Expected Behavior

We’re building a positive, respectful learning environment. We expect all members to:

  • 🗣️ Use welcoming, friendly, and helpful language
  • 🎧 Respect differing viewpoints and life experiences, even when you disagree
  • 🤝 Collaborate constructively and stay open to feedback
  • 👥 Demonstrate professionalism in tone, conduct, and communication
  • 🌱 Support each other’s growth — we all start somewhere

Let’s help each other feel smart, not small.

3. Unacceptable Behavior
AICC maintains a zero-tolerance policy for behavior that makes others feel unsafe or unwelcome. Unacceptable behaviors include (but are not limited to):

  • Harassment of any kind, including offensive or discriminatory comments based on gender, sexual orientation, disability, appearance, race, ethnicity, age, religion, or political beliefs
  • Threats, stalking, or intimidation, online or offline
  • Disruptive behavior during live sessions, workshops, or community discussions
  • Unwanted sexual attention or advances
  • Sharing someone else’s private information without their clear permission

If you're unsure whether something is inappropriate, err on the side of respect.

4. Reporting & Enforcement
We take violations seriously and are committed to a fair, respectful, and confidential process.

🔔 How to Report a Violation:

If you witness or experience behavior that violates this code, please contact our moderation team at:

support@aiconnectionclub.com

Your report will be handled confidentially.

🛡️ What Happens Next:

  • A designated team member will review the report promptly
  • A fair investigation will be conducted
  • The person involved will be notified and given a chance to respond
  • Outcomes may include:
    • A private warning
    • Temporary suspension
    • Permanent removal from the community

We reserve the right to act without prior warning in severe cases.

5. Appeals Process

We believe in fairness and transparency. If you are subject to a moderation decision and believe it was made in error, you may submit an appeal within 14 days of notification.

Appeals should be directed to the same contact point listed above. We’ll review the decision and respond in a timely manner.

💙 Final Note

AICC is a space for learning, connection, and creativity — and you play a part in shaping that experience. Let’s work together to create an atmosphere of trust, growth, and respect for all.

ADDENDUM:

Like most special-interest communities, we don't allow self-promotion and off-topic self-promotional posts (our topic is AI).

And you might be familiar with the often-quoted advice about when joining a new community, it's good to spend the initial time exploring and seeing what is acceptable and expected in that community, in order to be an accepted and valuable member of the community.

While members are going to be able to have their own store at their Profile page, where they can promote their services and products, that has not been implemented yet. You can promote yourself in the About section of your Profile page.

So what I've done in the meantime is create a new area called "Member Services" where you can post promotional materials.

promo posts

How you use it is you go to your Profile page, click on Blog and then on Create, and write your title, your post, add any links, add your Featured Image (green button at the bottom), and click on Publish Article.

A moderator will be notified and if all is OK, we'll publish the post and it will appear at the Member Services page.
